Krypton

March 21, 2008

Krypton is about the transition to the second half of the zodiac, here we are coming above the horizon. Next is the silverseries which is similar to libra. It is the point of full moon, the process is turning around.

Libra is the logical follow up of virgo and therefore the sign that goes with the silverseries. It also fits the observations of Scholten who talks about the silverseries as art and esthetics. But he also talks about ideas and inspiration which belongs to sagittarius, the universal spirit.

So libra as well as sagittarius both seem to belong to the silverseries. But the problem is that they are not next to each other in the zodiac. There is a sign in between those two, scorpio. Scorpio does not fit here, but it is perfect for the lanthanides.

So with scorpio/sagittarius is the same difficulty as there was with cancer/leo. Although cancer comes before leo in the zodiac, the similar remedies are the other way around in the periodic table, first Sulphur and then Chlorum.

And the same here, sagittarius belonging to the silverseries and scorpio belonging to the lanthanides.

So it is as if the spirit is going to the new area (from primordial to individual in puberty and from individual to universal in midlife) and the soul to follow takes a longer time.

But with Krypton it is not so far yet. It is in stage 18 of the ironseries and therefore it is the phase of rest before going over to ‘the other’ (libra).

Stage 18 in general:

Rest, a pause before the start of a new cycle. Just want to stay in one place and do nothing. Locked up in their isolated condition. The experiences of the previous cycle are internalised and integrated.

With Krypton this is the transition from the ironseries to the silverseries. Or from virgo to libra/sagittarius. Or from function to reflection and vision.

Do not want to look at their work yet, what could be changed. They took a distance from the routinework, but do not want to be occupied yet with the speciality. No need yet to leave their practical, pragmatic attitude.

Bromium

March 19, 2008

With Bromium the ironseries is coming to an end. It is in stage 17 like Fluor and Chlorine. Stage 17 is about finding the balance between holding on and release. With Bromium it is about release of the function.

Perfection of the approach to life. Development of mundane skills, ability to change to adapt to life better. Service, helping, perfectionist, always seeking to improve, efficiency, practical, functional, analytical. Reacts to defeats and setbacks by pulling back and altering approach. Lacks confidence in the face of opposition, lives up to duties and responsibilities.

The individual has become as skilled and perfect as possible, up to the point where it would go at the cost of others. This might explain the guilt, because of doing things totaly ‘my way’.

The complement pisces plays an important role here.

Compassion and empathy, selfless work. Seeing the unity of all things. The end of cycles, forming seeds for the next cycle of growth. Mysticism, fails to make normal distinctions. Laziness, victim, martyr, servant. Tends to escapism. Fantasy, drugs, alcohol, religion. Very receptive, sensitive, even psychic.

The polarity of pisces can be seen between laziness and confusion, but also between deceive and disappear. Scholten talks about guilt and escape.

Have to let the work go. Because of a disease, their age, or are dismissal. A typical situation is that of pension. Would like to go on, find it difficult to sit still, want to have something to do. Or can not release the work and are convicted to work. Guilt because not doing their work or duty. Feeling they are disapproved and convicted. Can not stand being watched. Think they will be found guilty. Tendency to escape. Feel haunted, by people or ghosts. In the most extreme case they become psychotic. Sit quiet, just stare, or are restless with their hands. Delusion that God wants to punish him.

This religious side is also a characteristic of pisces, which has the final purpose of compassion.

Selenium

March 15, 2008

Selenium is in stage 16 of the ironseries. Oxygen and Sulphur are also in that stage which is similar to pisces.

Surrender to the universe, to higher goals, ego sacrifice. Co-dependency, care-taking.

The complement of pisces is virgo, which is similar to the whole ironseries.

The ironseries has the polarity between critical and indifference with the purpose of function after integrating the quality of pisces. And stage 16 has the polarity between laziness and confusion with the purpose of compassion after integrating the quality of virgo.

Scholten mentions indifference and lazyness in their work.

Feel indifferent to their task. Do not have a sense of duty anymore. Always behind with their work, but always come up with an excuse. Inclined to work shortly, until they have enough to live from. Sloppy, let everything become a chaos. Feeling that they can get things done even if they do not work so hard. Inclined to fantasise about their work. All kind of ideas and fantasies about how it would have been if they had chosen another study or job. Do as if everything is easy for them. When criticised they are inclined to neglect that. Become cynical to those who criticise them.
